~GodSTOP Moments~ By Belinda

Sometimes we are caught in moments that we don’t fully understand. Confusing moments, where we second guess the reality of what is happening. Moments where our minds play tricks and pass off the circumstances as luck or even coincidence…

You know those moments I’m talking about:

Finding your keys in the nick of time…

Avoiding an accident by the skin of your teeth…

Securing an upfront parking place at the mall…

Receiving grace from the officer who pulled you over for speeding…

Getting an unexpected bonus…

Not having to wait in line at Starbucks (a personal favorite)…

I call these moments a GodSTOP – a time where God intentionally reveals Himself in a very real and literal way. Many times, we are so busy that we don’t acknowledge or even see His hand in our daily lives. Yet He continues to “work all things after the counsel of his own will” (Eph. 1:11) with a never-ending desire to draw all men and women unto Himself.

As I read the scriptures, I believe that many of those stories are actually GodSTOP moments.

The parting of the Red Sea…

Noah’s rainbow…

Gideon’s fleece…

Jesus’ conversation with Nicodemus…

There are way too many to mention, although you could leave an example in the comment section below.  😉   We have a living Father who still seeks after a relationship with His creation. God’s hand is in the glove of human events, slowly working out His eternal purposes for His own glory and for our eternal good. Because the saints of old were diligent in writing the stories, the histories and letters contained in the Bible, we have a foundational reference for our faith. These GodSTOP stories are still being written in the lives of God’s people every single day.

I believe that we are called to share these stories of God’s divine providence to give testimony to His deliverance, healing, help, preservation, protection, blessing and strength.

So what do you say? Will you continue to write the story of God and His people by sharing your GodSTOP moments with others?
